Jabalpur Lions’ Inaugural Title Winners
The first MPL was a compact five-team affair held entirely at Gwalior, with a 10-match round-robin feeding into an Eliminator and final. Jabalpur Lions topped the group undefeated and earned a direct route to the title clash, where they met second-placed Bhopal Leopards on 23 June 2024.

The final belonged to Abhishek Pathak. He produced one of the great all-round finals, an unbeaten 142 and two wickets with the ball, as Jabalpur piled up a huge 249 for 4 and beat Bhopal to lift the inaugural crown. It remains the benchmark individual performance in an MPL final.
MPL 2025 Final: Bhopal Leopards’ Last-Ball Crown
A year later, Bhopal Leopards turned heartbreak into history. Having lost the 2024 final, they returned to the title match on 24 June 2025 against Chambal Ghariyals at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Stadium, both sides reaching the final through dramatic chases.

Batting first, Bhopal managed only 156 on a ground that had routinely produced 200-plus totals, then defended it to the wire.
Chambal finished on 154 for 7, with Bhopal winning by two runs off the last ball for a maiden title, captain Arshad Khan holding his nerve at the death and Aniket Verma taking the player-of-the-match award .
A small note for the record: while the scorecard shows a two-run margin, several match reports recorded it as three.
MPL 2026 Final: Chambal Ghariyals’ Maiden Title Triumph
A season later, the Chambal Ghariyals turned previous heartbreak into history. After finishing as runners-up in 2025, they returned stronger in the 2026 final on 26 June at the Holkar Stadium, Indore, facing a high-pressure contest to seal their first-ever MPL title.

Batting first, Chambal posted a competitive total of 168/6 on a surface that supported stroke play but tightened under lights. Their bowlers then delivered a disciplined performance, restricting their opponents to 137/9.
Chambal Ghariyals won the match by 31 runs, with captaincy and death-over execution proving decisive, while a standout all-round effort earned the Player of the Match award for their key match-winner.
With this victory, Chambal Ghariyals lifted their maiden MPL trophy, completing a strong redemption arc after their near-miss in the previous season.
